Nothing. Last year the only person I bought something early for was dead by October.

But I am being grumpy. Happy shopping.

Got DD 4 Angelina Ballerina books on eBay for a grand total of £4 including p&p which I was chuffed about, she's going through a big Angelina phase and I'm hoping it lasts until Christmas Wink.

Got DS the We're going on a bear hunt board game brand new on eBay again for £7!

Got each of them their The Snowman soft toy for North Pole breakfast gifts. £8 from mothercare in the clearance.

Spent £15 on three beautiful teddy bears for Christmas Eve hampers for them. Got a 50% off voucher code for a website called wauwaa and couldn't not use it!

That's it so far. Building it up slowly but surely though, also started on the decorations needed this year!

But I'm starting to pick up table/cookware.

Nothing. I don't start Christmas shopping until December or it doesn't feel Christmassy. Christmas shopping in July is just... bleurgh!

So far I have just spent £120 on a secondhand laptop for DD1

I have no idea at all what to get DD2 and DD3. I'm fed up of them not playing with or breaking all of their toys!

So excited I pressed send too early! Blush

Anyway I love these threads.

So far we have:

Playmobil pyramid for DD (7) and DS (5) - will have had this for over 18 months by then, snapped it up when it was on sale prior to going out of production! £40

BrainBox art game - finally found it at the local independent game shop. £10

Top Trumps - new tradition (can't really call it a tradition yet but YKWIM!) is a set in each of their stockings. Actually got used sets on eBay because the ones I wanted are out of print - Pixar Incredibles for DS and Roald Dahl for DD. £10

Robbie the Reindeer DVD box set. £3

I think that's it? We have a couple of other things in the cupboard but those are for DS' 5th birthday next month. I have plenty of ideas on my wishlist though.

Holmes I see your point but buying stuff through the year means it's much easier to budget, and you can take advantage of sales etc to pick up bargains as and when you see them Smile

So far I've probably spent about £100, all on DD (I only buy for her and DH). Bought her a Nook Glowlight for half price, a few bits of clothes in various sales, some toiletries, DVDs, that sort of thing. I'll be buying her main present, and all DH's stuff, closer to Christmas but I'll probably be all done by the end of November.

For DS, 2.8 at Christmas:

Happy land dino play set £17.50 down from £35

Elc wallop a worm game £2.50 down from £8 iirc.

I did buy a happy land nurse set for £2.50 down from £5 but caved in and gave it to him when he found it I'm a soft touch

So just £20 on the two so far but fab savings. This is the earliest I've ever started tho had tree up, presents all bought and wrapped by dec 1st last year so I'm aiming for the same this year Grin
