I want an Xmas bear for dd's first xmas should I get a Harrods one which is now BOGOF or John lewis? Harrods one won't be here for Xmas but John Lewis one which I have reserved as there in short supply means trip on the train to a very busy Edinburgh to collect one and fighting round Christmas markets etc with pram. Cant decide which one I like better.

Honestly - she won't notice. Save yourself some agonising and wait until after Xmas and choose one at your leisure. One bear is pretty much like another, and guaranteed your child will choose to attach itself to the most cheap and gaudy stuffed animal that they pick up in a charity shop or fairground!

My Dd has a Hamleys one and it was bought online. It has the year on its foot too and as she was born on Boxing Day, I didn't order it until after Christmas, but still got it. It's lovely.

Wait and get the Harrods bear, the golden thread date on them is worth the wait and much more treasurable than any other bear.

She won't know when it comes and if it is BOGOF at least you will have a spare if one gets lost.

I got the Harrods bear for DD and her friend and it is gorgeous - I would definitely opt for that one given the choice.

My dad bought DD a House of Fraser Bear with the year 2002 embroidered on it's paw.She still has him.

DS got a bear that cost £1.99 that I traipsed round Glasgow for when I was pg.
I had to have the teddy with the look . And 12 years later, he's still got him.

Harrods one it is £24.95 for two and splitting it with a friend. Nearly got a total bargain as some one had messed up this morning and put them on bogof and half price so £12.50ish for two but by the time I got to the check out they'd sorted it so got an error message Sad
