Honestly the thought really does count and I would be so chuffed if a friend gave me a present I wouldn't mind what it was! Bottle of wine? Make them a cake? Nice photo frame. CD. Book. Actually a book I think is the best!

we dont usually buy for each other so it is really a token gift, will look for nice books and maybe a candle i think.

Ah I think home baked goods is a lovely idea. You can buy lovely Christmas cake boxes from eBay and fill them with homemade mince pies which are super easy to make xxx

I've been recommended and recently bought from amazon:

The Help by Kathryn Stockett
and
One Day by David Nicholls

They are both supposed to be fabulous and have recently become films.

Get them each a sledge! You can get them for around a tenner in Argos and Decathlon.

We've had loads of snow the past few years and getting one is a great excuse to act like a big kid again!

You could even meet up and have races!!

Don't normally buy xmas presents anymore as we concentrate on the kids, but I normally do a big batch of a few chutneys so I give them out to the adults.

Start saving jars early in the year though!!
