MY sister has been with her boyfriend for a few year. last year apparantly it wasn't as serious as this year so he didn't count in the present stakes, this year however he does!!
What do I buy?? something special for the 2 of them as it is their 1st xmas together?

How old are they? What are their interests? Pets, hobbies, area you live...............

Thanks for the reply. My sister is 29 and her boyfriend is 40, they both like to drink, socialise, tv documentaries, no pets, she's a high school teacher who pole dances for a laugh, he's a mechanic. Tyne and wear.

I would buy them separate gifts unless they are living together or are engaged.

Lynx selection box and some socks, maybe a tie or some nice whisky, make him feel part of the family :o

Can you give matching scents? You know the ones that do his and hers versions - I think Clinique do one.

Oh they sound like a great couple. I'd get them something for the house, like this with these or this, depends on how much you want to spend?

Or make them up a hamper as suggested on a previous thread, with DVDs, bottle of something alcoholic, some festive nibbles, warm blanket etc?

When my sister was still married I would get a big gift bag and in it would go a nice bottle of wine, a tin of luxury biscuits or something edible (usually in a pretty tin to be kept) and a small gift each.

Her ex was into puzzles and things like that so got him items like this:
www.yellowmoon.org.uk/product.asp?pf_id=K159&ContainerID=10
Or a couple of nice beers/ales (you can get xmas ones, or real ales too, in the supermarket easily)

And for her I'd get the usual stuff she likes (smellies, handbag items etc). Like this:
www.lakeland.co.uk/stardust-compact-mirror/F/keyword/compact/product/40881

So basically a couple of items to share and an individual item each but all put together in one package.
Maybe something similar would work for you.
