What are you buying your two year old this year ?

Yes they are that age that excludes them from alot of toys that are a little older.

I need ideas for a stocking fillers ( that will not get thrown or last two minutes ) and ideas for what the family to get him.

I have 2 boys who love to be out and about doing things. I ask grandparents to pay for swimming course or season ticket to local farm/zoo etc. Kids have so many toys now, I think its great as the season pass means we always have somewhere nice to pop, even on a rainy day & you dont have pressure of having to stay all day to get your moneys worth. From my experience, children value experiences & quality time doing things with parents rather than expensive toys.

True thats a good idea as they aren`t big buyers. The main present for him last year was a wooden peg basher 10 from mothercare.
I got the letterbox book today in the post and will nosey at that later.

I did think skittles soft ones, some peppa pig maybe the spin game and a thomas torch

fireman sam playset.....not bothered about the age guides,he is the youngest of my 5 so has a good play with many age in-appropriate toys!!

my stocking ideas so far (yes,I am writing them down already ).Lots are things i would sort of buy anyway...

toothbrush (and toothpaste)
toy for our pet guinea pigs
crayons
colouring book
little farm animals(got some last year,he loves them)
cake/playdough/baking bits (cutters/silicone cases)
craft stuff (glue sticks)
anything digger/tractor related

we are prob going to get a garage or playmat for him as his 'big present'

From last year - he loves his tool set, megasketcher drawing thing, cutting/velcro fruit n veg, teddy bear puzzle (with faces) er... He has a big sister so plays with her things too...

I've got ds3 a wooden car transporter plus some books. He's turning 2 on monday and is getting a cash register, not a digital one. Torch is a good pressie at 2 I think. Umbrella also. Fancy dress if they like it. Grandparents love buying fancy dress.

I found a baking set for 3.99 which comes with cookie/ biscuit cutters. Then I might get some sprinkles to pop in his stocking as loves my cupcake ones.

yes, i did wrap up animals more or less individually-
I love doing stockings!! Especially on a minimal budget - go (selective) pound shop crazy...

ds and dd love playing with the till/'money-pinger'. ours is a hideous pink barbie one though, thanks auntie!

I love stockings as Christmas, definitely the best bit as all the little things that take time to unwrap.

Ive got the feeling His Auntie will land something hideous on us too , she doesnt do children thinks they are all brats ( no exception ).

I thought I might make his Grandma one from him with a photo keyring,one of those pegs for Kiddie masterpieces and something else ??
