Buy now from AmazonI got something completely different - a Babymoov Dream belt. I felt I needed support under my bump when side lying and found it a pain to readjust pillows every time I turned over. The belt was great - I got the Bamboo/Fresh one as it’s supposed to be cooler.

How we tested the Babymoov Dream Belt
I used the Babymoov Dream Belt throughout my second and third trimester, along with the bbhugme Pregnancy Pillow and the Dreamgenii Pregnancy Support and Feeding Pillow.
I tested it by putting it over my pyjama top just before going to sleep, then adjusting it up or down to get the right positioning.
Occasionally I also folded it up and just wedged it under my bump when I wanted a little extra support but didn’t fancy actually wearing it, and even used it as a seat cushion too, so it’s has been a pretty flexible pregnancy support belt.
During testing, I scored the Babymoov Dream Belt out of five in many different criteria including: overall comfort, bump support, back support, hip/leg support, practicality, and value for money.

First impressions of the Babymoov Dream Belt
I was a little sceptical about this belt at first, mainly because I felt so ridiculous wearing it, but I soon began to appreciate it. Technically this is a pregnancy support belt designed for sleeping, rather than a traditional pregnancy pillow.
It’s a lot smaller than an ordinary pregnancy pillow like the bbhugme Pregnancy Pillow or Dreamgenii pregnancy pillows because it wraps snugly around your waist and only offers bump support instead of trying to be a pillow that solves all your pregnancy pains, and I think that focus in design pays off in the end.
The Babymoov Dream Belt comes ready assembled in a small cardboard box. It’s a nice compact pillow, but for something that’s won so many design awards, I really dislike the way it looks.
The belt works by adding extra cushioning around your bump and on your sides, to support your hips and back as your pregnancy progresses. But when you wrap the belt around you, it can feel a little bit like you’re wearing a fat suit which no one wants.
Added to this, the fabric on the side is a different colour to the fabric covering the bump, which made me feel like a Teletubby and that was something my fragile pregnancy self-esteem struggled with.
However, as I’ve tested this with my growing bump throughout my pregnancy, I’ve come to appreciate its compact design. So, while I still don’t like the way it looks, the BabyMoov Dream Belt does offer really good lower back and hip support, and now that I’m in my third trimester, I find that I’m using it a lot more.

How big is the Babymoov Dream Belt?
The Babymoov Dream Belt is typically available in one size that is adjustable to fit most waist sizes. The belt is designed to be adjustable to accommodate various body shapes and sizes during pregnancy. The great thing about this belt is that it doesn’t take up too much space in the bed.
How easy is it to use the Babymoov Dream Belt?
The Dreambelt is user-friendly and requires minimal setup; simply position the belt around your belly and use the Velcro straps to secure it around your lower back.
Conveniently, the back strap features lettering to ensure it's on the right way, while the long Velcro strip ensures a snug fit throughout your entire pregnancy.
The Velcro fastening is thick and strong, providing reliable support without risk of unraveling, which is a definite plus.
While removing the belt can be a tad challenging in my morning groggy state, its overall simplicity outweighs any minor inconvenience.
In bed the belt does slide up a little bit and I’ve had to reposition it a few times in the night, but it’s way easier to reposition this belt than it is to turn over to your other side with a giant sausage shaped pillow. So, it’s less disruptive overall for both my husband and I.

Can you use the Babymoov Dream Belt for breastfeeding as well as pregnancy support?
No, this belt is only meant to support your bump during pregnancy and isn’t suitable for breastfeeding support. However, you can purchase the Babymoov Mum & B Maternity Cushion, which will not only support your hips and knees during the night, but it can also be used as a nursing pillow.
Does the Babymoov Dream Belt offer good support?
During my second trimester, I had mixed feelings about this belt. Sure, it supported my bump without hogging the duvet, much to my husband's delight in sharing bed space. But, I couldn't shake the feeling of looking utterly ridiculous in it. Even those late-night bathroom trips felt like a grey Teletubby parade.
However, as I ventured into my third trimester and the hip and back pain set in, the Babymoov Dream Belt proved its worth. Compared to other pregnancy pillows, it offered superior bump support, which became increasingly important as my bump grew. Admittedly, I still felt a bit like a Teletubby wearing it, but perhaps my desperation for relief outweighed my embarrassment.
Despite its less-than-glamorous appearance, I've come to appreciate the Dream Belt for its compact design and excellent belly and hip support. Plus, it's much easier to shift positions in bed while wearing it compared to the large bbhugme.
Buy now from AmazonI would recommend it to mums who are looking for a small pillow or need additional belly support and would also suggest it to anyone who tosses and turns in their sleep a lot as it’s a lot easier to manage than a large pregnancy pillow.
How do you wash the Babymoov Dream Belt?
The belt is machine washable, you just need to remove the two memory foam cushions first.
How does the Babymoov Dream Belt compare with other pregnancy pillows?
The Babymoov Dreambelt is so different to other pillows I’ve tested, so it’s hard to compare. It’s much smaller than other pillows, so worth it if you’re travelling, have a small bed, or happen to share a bed with a very light sleeper.
While it provides excellent belly and back support, you may find yourself needing additional hip support. Consider pairing it with the Babymoov Mum & B Maternity Cushion, which can alleviate pressure on your hips, back, and knees by placing it between your knees at night. Admittedly, its aesthetic leaves something to be desired, but its compact design is practical.
Compared to the bbhugme Pregnancy Pillow or the Dreamgenii Pregnancy Support and Feeding Pillow, the BabyMoov Dreambelt is significantly smaller. While it may lack the tactile quality of the bbhugme Pregnancy Pillow, it offers more flexibility than the Dreamgenii Pregnancy Support and Feeding Pillow. If you're seeking a product that provides lower back and bump support without dominating the bed, the BabyMoov Dreambelt could be an excellent choice.

Is the Babymoov Dream Belt good value for money?
Yes, I think it’s pretty good value for money, especially if you only want something to support your belly and back.
I would recommend it to mums who are looking for a small pillow or need additional belly support and would also suggest it to anyone who tosses and turns in their sleep a lot as it’s a lot easier to manage than a large pregnancy pillow.
Are there any downsides to the Babymoov Dream Belt?
I don’t like that the design has a different colour and pattern in the section that goes over your bump. It makes sense that it’s a thinner material, but a more discreet design would, in my opinion, be preferable.
There’s a little tag at the front of the pillow which I found quite scratchy when I was trying to get to sleep.
Additionally, I tested the Babymoov Dream Belt in the winter, and some nights I felt a little too warm with it around my waist, so if you’re pregnant over the summertime, or generally a warm person, this might be too warm for you.
