I could only bear around 2 minutes of that 8 minute clip.

He really is a bumbling, boring, arse isn't he.

There seems to be quite a bit of nervous, polite laughter rather than chuckles of genuine mirth methinks Grin

Nutcracker - you need to listen to the end when I shackle him Grin

Heckle him , not shackle, heckle. That could have been even more video-worthy though.

I'd have paid good money to see you shackle him Grin

Yes, I regret not just sauntering in as well now.

Wonderful, Heckler, just wonderful.

What a lousy speaker he is though - I was amazed how bad he was, apart from what an arse he is.

Really don't understand why MN invited him.

Was he cheap?

He's a family friend of Justine's isn't he?

I wasn't there, so I can't truly judge how he went down or whether the laughing was sincere or nervous and polite.

But I thought he came across fine and the audience warmed to him. I thought it was well pitched for a celebration of 15 years of MN. He had taken the time to write it himself, it included anecdotes that linked him to the origins of MN.

He was also very gracious in his acknowledgement of the heckle.

Obviously, if you are going to invite a politician there are going to be people who dislike his/her views. So it is unlikely that they will be loved by all.

Writing something himself shouldn't win him any praise.

Ah, but people who were there thought the opposite Partial.
