Can anyone help me to choose a Masters programme please?

I am looking for a Master programme in Political Theory in London/South East that has a hefty component of gender and feminist theory (but I don't want to study gender exclusively).

I would like an institution that will enable me to get stuck into Butler, Irigaray, loads of Foucault etc and is not conservative.

I am of course already researching courses by conventional means but am interested to hear recommendations from Mumsnetters.

Thanks

Thank you for the advice.

As for what I want to do with such a Masters, well that's the $64 million question tbh. ..I want to go on and unlock the secrets of the universe!? I want to understand why the world is the way it is and (eventually) contribute some original thought that might in some small way make the world a bit better. Urgh it sounds so trite, but hopefully you get what I mean. (And this is an anonymous forum after all, thank God).

I'm 33, got 3 young kids, current undergrad Politics student. My passion actually lies in post modern cultural criticism but I have a strong interest in public policy as what gets me going is that point at which abstract deconstruction comes face to face with the necessary pragmatism of functioning in the world as it is.

I think I might need to do a PhD. But don't know how I can make it work with kids/mortgage etc.

Sorry for typos, I'm on my phone, it's late and much wine has been consumed :-)
