link doesn't work, can you repost? You need double brackets at the end as well as the start.

What about a boy of 13 who rapes a girl of 5 and then over the following 18 months, seeks opportunities to try to get her alone to repeatedly abuse her. Is he a sexual predator?

sameoldIggi Tue 06-Aug-13 13:37:47

Signed.

I am once again stunned by the attitude of the CPS and judiciary.

He knew she was underage. Knew. Admitted it.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SHE DID

This little girl was described as "experienced" in the article. So she'd been abused previously. So once a child had been abused any further abuse is ok, because she's already been shown to be worthless, damaged goods.

I think that without knowing the background to the case how can people sign a petion. There was a thread about under age sex a while ago. And I was one of the few who said more should be done about incidences of under age sex and prosecutions made. Is under age sex a crime or not. I wish they would make up their minds.

Found the story

So, this guy bombarded his victim with texts and phone calls. he had a collection of images of child abuse, including category 3 i.e. the most serious, extreme images. He pleaded guilty, admitting his crime.

Yet the CPS and the judge collude in attacking the character of the victim, fgs?

That is just gross, there are no real words to describe this.

Signed. Utterly dismayed by this.

NiceTabard Tue 06-Aug-13 13:53:34

Other cases he has tried seem to have been dealt with appropriately?
[dont know too much about which crimes get which sentence].

Why has the judge got it so wrong this time? It is quite inexcusable behaviour by the judge. Poor girl.

bleedingheart Tue 06-Aug-13 14:09:47

How desperately sad this is. As bonzo77 said, the girl is being judged on having been previously abused! How can this stand?

scallopsrgreat Tue 06-Aug-13 14:32:46

Yes bonzo77. Very true.

NoComet Tue 06-Aug-13 14:57:04

So it's OK to have sex with a 13y, who looks 14 or 15 and who isn't totally naive.

ie if your a pedophile just find a vulnerable girl who's been sexually abused before or a girl who rightly or wrongly has had sex with her similar age BF and the judge lets you go angry

Beachcomber Tue 06-Aug-13 16:09:47

WTAF?

i started reading this and then had to look at the date as we had a similar thread a year or so ago.

this is absolutely sickening. will sign petition.

mrsdinklage Tue 06-Aug-13 16:30:01

WTF - signed.

TheDoctrineOfAllan Tue 06-Aug-13 17:34:31

So she "looked older than 13" but the defendant knew she wasn't "nearly 16". So..he thought she was 14? How does that make anything ok?

ThreeBee - what on earth does that have to do with this case?

mayihaveaboxofchoculaits Tue 06-Aug-13 17:54:50

So obviously Judge Nigel Peters ,needs to be watched, to see if he is liable for these "interesting" decisions! Wonder what his next case is.

Hang on, make that Robert Colover as well .He was the prosecutor and called the young woman a sexual predator. Isnt he supposed to be working on her team?

Paintyourbox Tue 06-Aug-13 17:59:35

Signed.

Disgusting situation. No wonder victims don't come forward.
