I have put some samples up on my profile page - so far I have done

Pillowed Laphounds from Hell
Spitting Through Our Beards since 2010.

WIll someone go and check that the pic is viewable?

marvellous, how can I buy some?

They're brilliant!

MrIC suggests

"MN FemBoard - Storming the Phallic Palace since 2010"

But admits it's a bit long for a button badge.

IC: It's worth a try...

I don't know about the spring meetup - when is it?
I can put these up on Etsy or you can just PM me for my email addy and order via Paypal. 50p a badge plus 50p total postage for up to 20. I know someone posted a long list of possible slogans so if there are any other favourites from that list, just ask and I will have a go. Long Words are sometimes a bit problematic but it's amazing what you can do when you've worked out how to make OpenOffice do horizontal compression Grin.

I may well be having a try at 'Dismantling the Patriarchy - One Bollock At A Time' though that's going to be a bugger to fit into a 25ml circle.

Ah, they're fab! Definitely want a couple of those.

Would "We bathe in the blood of the patriarchy" take up too much room?

RIght, this post from Grumpla listed favourite slogans for the MN marching banner.

And the winner is:

RAISING THE REVOLUTION!!! with 17 votes for first choice and 3 for second choice.

In second place:

Consciousness-Raising 2.0 (4 votes for first choice, which would have tied it with Liberty, Equality, Maternity but for the whopping SIX second-choice votes it also gathered.)

Here's the list again for those who can't be arsed to scroll through the whole thread.

Please note, voting is now CLOSED.

Who's in charge of actually making the banner?!?!

Patriarchy: YABVU
Raising the Revolution!
Consciousness-Raising 2.0
Mumsnet: Ramming The Message Home
Resist, Do Not Comply
Handmaidens Of The Matriarchy
Mums, Nyet!
Awaken the Breast
Liberty, Equality, Sisterhood
The Revolution Begins At Home
Words And Deeds
Pillowed Laphounds from Hell
Spitting Through Our Beards Since 2010
We Are What We Think And What We Do About What We Think
We March For Our Childrens' World
Smash The Patriarchy
Inform, Support, Revolt
Revolting Women
The Millwall of Mumsnet
TROLLKILLERS
A Woman's Place Is In The Struggle
The Hand That Rocks The Cradle Can Change The World
The Hand That Rocks The Cradle Can Cradle A Rock
Agitate, Educate, Organise
Liberty, Equality, Maternity

So anyone with any desperate wish for any of those, say so. I will be doing badges again tonight ie making samples, and will post pics of finished versions on my profile.

These are great! I must have Patriarchy YABVU and several others. Love it. Wink I suppose you couldn't do one with the biscuit emoticon on it? Grin Let me know so I can make up my order.

SpringchickenGoldBrass · 31/03/2011 00:48

Politixmum - I did have some biscuit badges for the Xmas meet before last - they said 'I think I'll just have a biscuit'. Mind you on that occasion I also had other MN unofficial badges - 'Make mine a Froot Shoot' and 'I [heart] nice ham and bumsex'...

Anyway, I've uploaded another set as requested.
Roll up roll up, etc Grin

Don't suppose you're willing to post to Australia, are you? I would buy loads. Well, at least three.

Report
SpringchickenGoldBrass · 31/03/2011 10:14

Tortoise - I don't mind posting to Australia. I will look up the postage cost and let you know; it shouldn't be massive as they are not heavy.
