What looks like an interesting program in temperature. Talks to a female scientist she makes a perfectly innocent comment and he looks at thle camera and turns in to benny hill. Cause she,s just there for his delictation...couldn't possibly have anything interesting to say., ffs.

I'm watching this too but I was so busy posting feminist things on Facebook I missed the Egregious Example Of Sexism. Still if he's done it once he will prob do it again before the end of the prog.

what did he say? I saw the end where he was talking about how much he'd learnt about himself, or some such thus following the pattern of so many programmes.

Was thinking how lovely it would be to have a "no white men aged between 35 and 65" day on TV. Not that they are all twats, of course. But you know, just for a change.

I like what you suggest Elephants, except that the main beneficiaries would doubtless be white men below the age of 35 and over 65.

Ah yes. Had forgotten about the "very old boys club" and the "little boys club". Angry

None of them at all then?

Yes I'd be absolutely happy to see David Attenborough on the telly.
Shocked by Ben Miller, but then we spent the programme tutting at the apparent standard of Cambridge Physics degrees since he was constantly being amazed by people telling him perfectly standard bits of A Level physics Hmm I know, I know, not all BBC2 viewers know what the triple point is but it annoys me when he feigns ignorance because it is essentially a lie.

Yes. Tony Benn is allowed. And, you know, some MNers can put their little boys forward to read the news or something. But other than that, girls & women only. I think TBE's girl would do a good job on newsnight.

On R4 the other day a male Australian cricket commentator was being interviewed about the Ashes defeat and at one point the Australian said, without any kind of sarcasitc or perjorative edge, that on the bright side the Australian women's cricket team was doing well.

I was just thinking 'great that he is speaking so constructively about women's cricket', but before I could finish that thought the male R4 interviewer said, in a sneery way, something like 'Yeah well I expect you're doiong ok at netball too.'

So for a wonder a sports professional had been wholly inclusionary and egalitatian about women's cricket, and the R4 reporter instantly undermined that. He, for example, was a twat.

Ben miller didn't say anything, he leered at the camera as if the scientist had just flashed her tits at him. She couldn't see what he was doing. She hadn't said anything innuendo-y at all.

I would never have said he was an arse before. I love Armstrong and Miller. Ben, if you're reading this, DON'T BE A SEXIST ARSE!
