The Girl you Left Behind - worth sticking with it?

Borrowed this from the library on a whim. I read Me Before You and did enjoy it.

However, this one is one of those "split in time" stories, and it all seems a bit old hat, done before, so far, seems rather predictable. It's very quick to read, just bit yeah yeah yeah...

Gets great reviews on Amazon and Goodreads so I can only assume it improves??

Really enjoyed it - read it in 2 days! Have passed my copy on to a couple of friends and they've all raved about it too.
