I was thinking about getting this when it comes out in paperback, but today it was reduced from over £6 on kindle to a bargain price of £1.79. It's a debut novel, looks pretty good from the reviews!

I wouldn't buy it based on the title. Whats it about?

puds the title is ironic. Based on an old rule-book a woman feels she has to follow while under the control of a controlling husband.

I've read this book and the author came to talk at our book club recently.

It's a creepy thriller on a similar theme to Before You Go To Sleep and Room. Anyone who enjoyed these two books would enjoy it I think.

Ah ok, I get you. I had suspicions it may have been ironic.

I've just finished this and it was very good.
I found it extremely creepy and was on the edge of my seat at some points!
Although I could have done with a better outcome at the end!!

I looked at this on Amazon before the release, because I read a review that sounded very good.

Then I completely forgot all about it, so when the emails started coming through suggesting it, I thought my DH had signed me up for something to make a point. He got a couple of very black looks before I remembered it was actually a book I'd wanted.

I did enjoy in very much, the ending left me furious but I think it was supposed to. I thought it was a very good look at a woman's place, historically, in a marriage and society and even as a mother.
