Keep wondering if the portion plates really help and then saw Rosemary Conley's "portion pots" nice and colourful but wonder if they are an alternative to the plates that divide up your plate with the alternative foods and show how much you can fill your plate with.

I've spent so much money and it's all been a waste so wondering about spending yet more!

What have you been spending on that's been a waste? [idle curiosity emoticon]

I'm spending a lot on a personal trainer to lose weight, but that's because I'm a lazy mare. It's not a waste though as it's definitely working.

The portion pots do look good, but you could probably get cheaper cup measures (as used in American recipes) and look up the portion sizes online to find which cup to use for which food type.

I'm lazy that's why I need something straigt forward (I've decided).

Spent too much on slimming clubs, mags, pills, you name it I've wasted it. Oh buying clothes just so I have something that fits and buying clothes that are too small so that I will try to lose weight to fit into them!

You may find that they help but as a general rule, you should fill a normal dinner plate with
1/4 protein
1/4 carbs (complex better)
1/2 veg
