Weight loss through Orlistat or in general - is disruption to periods normal or am I pregnant?

DH and I are a little anxious to say the least.

I had DS in December and have been using Orlistat (prescribed) for the last 16 weeks with some 10+ weight loss sucess.

When we have sex it's always with protection (condom), except for about 2 stupid minutes of alcohol fuelled lust and DH says he was nohwere near climax. And we have'nt had full sex that much since DS was born - in fact less than 12 times (I know cos thats how many condoms we bought!)

However I think my period is now overdue by a couple of weeks possibly - stupidly I forgot to mark my last one and the last mark I have is April, and couting forward in 4 week slots makes me 2 weeks late. However April was only my 3 period after DS and I was still getting back in to a cycle.????

Any thoughts?

tbh, the only way you will know is to do a test....
not sure how the Orlistat could effect periods...does it say anyhting on the leaflat with it?
Weightloss can effect periods, and obviously also having a Baby can mess them up....really, do a test, it's your best option, because otehrwise you will keep on wondering.

should think only severe weight loss would stop your periods

Have'nt been weighed for about 8 weeks as GP on holiday, normally it's every 4. I have continued to loose weight, but since the first 10lb could'nt say how much. But i have gone down a dress size.

Also I did have a tiny spotting when period should have been , which I though as a lead-in which I always get, but that was hardly anything. I got all the other signs, bloating, cramps and greasy hair etc. Just hoping spotting was actually impantation.

Will be 1000,000 - 1 if I am, and it's not like we conceived without trying for DD and DS.

Phew, test was negative, and dont you know next time I went to the loo there's a bleed - must be true what they say about anxiety playing a part....

DH is off to see GP about the snip voluntarily(sp)after this event I think

But for tonight we're celebrating with a Chinese takeaway and a couple of glasses of wine for me and a couple of beers for him....

Thanks for your thoughts
