This past year i have changed my diet and life style radically, last year i was a student, i ate take away at least twice a week, ate about 1 piece of friut/veg a week, drank mostly vodka or the occasional water, and my only exercise was in the bed room!!!

This last year i have tried to eat at least 5 portions of f&v a day, though more recently i do about 10, i drink alcohol about once a month, if that, I cook nearly everything from scratch, only really drink water and exercise nearly every day (proper exercise!!) yet i have put weight on and i really cant seem to loose any. WHY?

I'd get back on the vodka and bonking diet then it seems to work for you !
Seriously what exercise are you doing, what a typical days diet ?

I have something like fruit and fibre for breaky, a piece of fruit midmorning, something like hommous and pita and cucumber for lunch, another couple of pieces of fruit in afternoon and then for dinner something like stir fry or fish or cottage pie etc

Exersise:Monday:nothing, Tuesday:Karate (2 1/2 hours) wednesday 45mins at gym and run about 3 miles, thursday: Yoga (1 1/2hours) and try to fit in either run or gym, Friday: nothing, Saturady and sunday; i try to run and gym once each, sometimes i do nothing, sometimes i do both both days.

I am also having EXTREME sweet cravings, like i just Have to eat something sweet. Luckly there is nothing in the house that i can eat, but its sending me crazy (I am not pregnant, bedroom exercise finished a long time ago!!!)

Really couldn't comment TBH as to why you're not losing. Do you have much to lose? I am finding the more I'm losing the harder it is to shift more.

You're doing good so don't pack it in just because you're not noticing on the scales, your insides are benefitting no end! Keep at it and it'll pay off!!

Well that's what I keep telling myself when my scales don't budge!!

I dont have much to loose, so i guess thats part of the problem, I am a size 12, and to be honest i am not bothered about being a smaller dress size (cant afford new clothes anyway!) but i am very heavy for my height (5'4'' and 11 stone 6) I dont look that heavy though and people are always very shocked when i say i weigh that. I guess the muscle theory must be a bit true then as i now i have very strong core muscles (yoga teacher says so, and i can do alot of the harder balances without really wobbling!!) there just seems to be a huge layer of flab on top of it all. I guess i just ned to haul ass on the cardio and then when the fats finally disapears i should be really toned underneath!!!

I booked in with a personal trainer today as apparently there's something called muscle memory, basically if you keep doing something then your bod considers it normal and so it doesn't affect your weight or tone.
Maybe it's time for a change of cardio, rowing is brilliant, running then maybe the stepper.
