Please can anyone suggest what I can do to see a good initial weight loss without being hungry.7 stone to lose and got to lose some quick to lower blood pressure or will be put on medication for that .Tried weight watchers and lost a stone but always hungry so feel deprived and miserable so can only keep it up for a few weeks.Anyone else had a success story to inspire me? If this attempt fails will see GP for medication - if I didn't have 3 gorgeous children and was afraid of dying on operating table would consider stomach stapling - have reached rock bottom.Anyone who can offer advice will be gratefully received

Keep smiling , you have 3 wonderful children so dont be down for there sake . You said you tried ww when you were hungry why not fill yourself up with fruit or the 0 point soup there are no need to be hungry when there are 0 point foods .

I am trying to lose weight and what keeps me going is seeing my children and how proud they will be of me when I lose that weight and how I will have more energy to do things for them .

I am always saying to my children there is no such word as can't when they say that they can't do something and sometimes we forget that ourselves .

Go and speak to your doctor and explain how you feel , they will help you and support you

Good luck and keep smiling for your 3 children , remember your there mum and they love you no matter what you weigh.

Thanks for the encouragement - struggled with ww but then again have always struggled trying to lose weight. Am classic comfort eater - eat when I'm happy, sad, hungry, not hungry and worst of all eat the rubbish when no one around to see.Have one lovely GP in the practice but thanks to the wonderful NHS can't guarantee to see her as you phone for an appointment, any GP rings you back to see if you are worthy of an appointment and then fits you in to see any GP with a space - not exactly making it easy for a heart to heart!Three friends at work doing WW and can't see what the problem is but then they don't have much to lose so probably aren't carrying emotional baggage about food around.

I have found when I want something picky to eat I have been eating grapes as they are a picky kind of food and good for you . As long as I have grapes in to pick at I am ok .
I have tried number of diets but this time it seems to be working becasue I am determinded that I want a summer where I can where nice clothes and feel comfortable

I used to be a comfort eater and eat when not hungry just becasue the food is there . It is just being strong willed .

I wish I could help you more . I wish you all the luck in the world you sound like a lovely person

Slimming world! Honestly it's brilliant. You don't feel hungry at all you can eat so many of the free foods then you have 105 syns a week on top of those. I joined on 28th august and have lost 3 stone 6 1/2 pounds since then. I still have my wine and my treats feel healthier than ever and never ever feel deprived. I can honestly say it's the best thing I ever did. I started off at 16 stone 4.5 and am now 12 stone 12 I need to get to 11 stone 2 to be within my healthy eight range and want my target to belower and that but should reach that by the summer.

Thanks for the suggestion ledodgy - congrats on the huge weight loss ! Have considered slimming world before but wasn't sure i could get my head around it.How does it fit in with feeding the family? Does it work out expensive - been told you eat a lot of meat. Can't really afford to go to classes but think it might be my only chance to stick to it.Are kids welcome at classes - hubby works long hours so will have to drag kids along?

Hi sorry for the late response my keyboard wouldn't work yesterday! On SW you can have green or red days red days are low carb thus meat is free. However green days which I do all the time you can have lots of carbs and some meat as a HE so if you don't want to eat lots of meat green is preferable. If you can go to a class even if it's just the first one to get all the info it's well worth it. The consultants and group are very supportive.
