so, we have threads for all the other diets, but there doesn't appear to be one for those of us who are simply calory counting.

So who wants to join me. I will officially weigh in tomorrow morning, and as of then will be counting every calory I eat.

Some days I'll exercise, dome I won't, but the ultimate aim is to be as fit and gorgious as possible.

so, any takers?

yeah, long time no chat how u been?

ok, well i'l do it on a thursday too then. oh, ive not been to london for a long time

i'll prob do more exorcise ( im an exorcise junkie ) than hard dieting ( i cant diet too much coz of breast feeding) but i can keep count of what im doing with calories, because lately ive been a bit of a bugger for fizzy drinks, choc etc which isnt helping with getting back in shape

yeh am good too thanks.

Will be exercising too - hoping to swim 2-3 times a week and will make it on to the cross trainer we have in the garage if I can find the motivation. Ironically I find it easier to motivate myself to walk the 20 mins to the healthclub and swim than I do to walk the distance into my garage (which is attached to the house) and get on the cross trainer.

Chocolate is one of my biggest downfalls, however I had an altering moment the other day when I considered having some chocolate - quickly checked the calories and...

100 grams of cadburys chocolate contains 500 calories. on an 1100 calory restriction, 500 calories is the equivalent of a meal. What a waste of 500 cals that would be really lol.

lol @ the sweat inducing trek to your attached garage

i always deliberatly not looked at the cals on chocolate bars lol scary really in a way, 'specially when you think that its the equivalent of a meal

I think it has more to do with the fact that cross training is so bloody boring! But then I've always loved swimming even though I don't claim to be that good a swimmer, and at least swimming one actually makes it from one end of the pool to the other, whereas on the cross trainer ...

And at the pool there's always the chance of actually seeing other people, but my garage is a very deserted place indeed, esp at 6 in the morning when it's below freezing.

so no more takers?

morning

weighed in this morning at 9 stone 7. for breakfast had one scrambled egg made with 10 ml of semi-skimmed milk. Made in microwave so no butter etc. calory total for that is 97.9. Plus glass of water which contains no calories.

Walked to preschool with ds, then walked to healthclub (about threequarters of a mile) then swam 40 lengths, then walked home.

For lunch am going to have either prawns or tuna with salad, and for dinner am having home-made ravioli with chicken and basil, but have to work out the calories for that still.
