I need ideas for breakfast and snacks please!

My 2 major downfall areas. For breakfast, I can never find anything that keeps me going for more than an hour or two, and when I snack... I turn to cake/biscuits/cheese/buttered bread - all stuff not conducive to me fitting into my jeans!

I wouldn't mind a smaller breakfast and then a mid morning snack if anyone has good suggestions!

I like the little boxes of raisins, bought them for dcs lunchbox but ended up eating myself. Tend to have a banana or poached egg for breakfast.

For breakfast I have full fat greek yoghurt with berries and porridge oats mixed in. Make it the night before and let it set in the fridge. It keeps me full all morning.

Snacks only have them if you are really hungry. Carrot and cucumber sticks with a soft cheese or houmous dip.

Don't eat the low fat stuff. The full fat will keep you fuller longer so you need to eat less.

Granola , although reasonably high in calls is good calories and very very filling.

I have this either breakfast or lunch with a pot of low fat yogurt over top.

I find that eggs for breakfast keeps me going longer than anything else. I scramble one whole egg and two whites with a bit of skimmed milk, works out around 130 cals. I have it on its own, no toast. Even DH has been converted (although he just had two whole eggs).

I think anything protein based does keep you going for longer.

I'm interested in snack recommendations too though as I have a tendency to snack on tea & biscuits Blush

Fuckalella Eggs would be awesome, except during a bit weight loss kick last year I ate nothing but eggs for breakfast for about 6 months straight. Scrambled, nothing except a twist of ground pepper added. Now, I absolutely cannot stomach eggs, especially in the morning!

Perfectlypurple Is that the overnight oats stuff? Have been meaning to give it a go as it's appearing everywhere!

I just use normal oats.

I am eating ricotta and banana on toast. I usually only have one piece of toast which (with a tsp of honey) comes to 260 cal. The diet I'm following suggests 300cal for each of the 3 meals (approx) and 2 snacks of 150 cal each.

Is working well for me so far. I think the filling breakfast is good as sets me up for the day and I am less likely to snack a lot or be starving at lunch time.
