Hello to the wobbly mummies!!!
I've been reading lots of the threads in this section and thought I'd share how I managed to kick-start my weightloss...
I come from a family of "Weight watchers" and bingers and I have a really hard time following anythign for more than 4 days!! I'm 5ft2 and Ii've had 2 babies in the last 3 years (I know, nuts) My heaviest was 11stone4 - I'm now 9 stone 5 and trying to lose the last half a stone to be a petite 8 stone something! Hre's how I got started...
I put on some very boring black knickers and bra and set my digital camera on automatic and took 3 photos of myself (believe me NOTHING sexual abotu this at all) front, rear and side views of my falbby body 1 month after the second baby: ahhhhhhhhhhhh! I'd never seen the rolls of fat on my back or my saggy bott!! It was scarey, every bit of me was wobbly! I saved the pictures in a secret place on my pc where no-one would find them (I'd die if anyone saw them). 2 Months later, after a diet of Museli bfast, jkt potato salad lunch and soup for tea and the Martine Dance body dvd I took another 3 photos. I copied and pasted them next to the first photos on the same page and compared!! Unbelievable!! I'd only lost half a stone (which I can put in in a week easily!) but the difference was amazing! I could see where the fat was starting to go!!! Since then whenever I feel like opening the smarties or the chocolate fingers tucking into the cheese I have a look at my secret photos and go ahhhhh; no, never again. I did the 3rd photos session 2 months later when I'd lost a stone and again, copied and pasted on a power point slide next to the others - wow! so ladies, get those digicams out, takes some dodgy piccies of yourself before and update them regularly!! Maybe your dhs would like to help you, personally i've tried so many diets I didn't want to tell dh I was doing another one in case it didn't work again...but this IS WORKING!! very slowly but surely Other tip - don't aim to lose weight all the time, go for weight control - aim not to put any weight, I've stayed the same weight for weeks but didn't feel depressed because I hadn't put backl on what I'd lost. Give it a try and let me know who it goes!!!
