has any one got any tips or encouragement for me or had some thing like this happen to you?? im at aloss,
i have done slimming world a few times over the years in total i have lost about 4 stone with them, so i know that it normally works for me i have just re joined agen after having DS 3 ! I have been following it properly with sheer determination for the past 2 weeks, i want to lose about 2 stone,i haven't relly been exercising with it but in the past 2 weeks i have been walking about 4 miles a day (school run) have painted 2 rooms in my house, built bunk beds and all the other stuff that goes with having 3 kids on my own, also it was my star week starting the day of my first weigh in, anyway, the point of this is i haven't lost anything in 2 weeks, i have instead gained half a pound! i keep telling my self it will come off very soon but so far nothing , and im starting to get to the point where i am asking my self why i am even trying! i have 4 of my old books from the past and can see from them that i normally lose about 5 or 6 pounds in the first couple of weeks. im really starting to get down about this, can anyone help me? i just cant understand it, im following it relly stricktly more so than in the past, i have even bought scales and been weighing out my As and Bs, and stuffing my face with free foods,
i feel a little better for writing it out though,

You seem to be doing all the right things. I do know the diet has changed from a few years ago though so are you making sure you've read up on the free foods for this one, i'm sure you have but I know that some things that were once free aren't anymore.
Don't forget muscle also weighs more than fat, have you measured your inches? Do you feel any slimmer?
Also it may be worth getting your thyroid checked if you are dieting but aren't losing any weight.
I hope you start losing soon I can imagine how disheartening it must be.

It's really strange like you I do all green days too and i am losing weight although there is a couple of people in our club including my friend's step mum that can't seem to shift the weight and like you she even put on half a pound when she was sticking to the diet. I'd stick to it for another couple of weeks and see what happens. Have you showed the leader your food diary maybe she can see what the problem is.

yeah i gave her my food diry shelooked it over and asked what i thought the problem was!
i think she thinks that i havent written the truth or something, cos her advice was "well if u r doing it properly u wood lose weight!"
ggrr ...
the only thing i can think of is even though i have now stoped breast feeding maybe i still need some more health extras,(still got milk)
but i dunno.
how long/ how much have you lost?

If you still have milk then you still have pregnancy hormones in your system so I bet this is the problem. I'm not sure increasing your healthy extras though unless you are expressing the milk you have left iyswim. I bet milk alone weighs a fair bit if your norks are full!

I've only been doing it 3 weeks and have lost ten pounds so it's definately working for me.

im not expressing it, it was nearly gone, but i came on for first time last week and the milk came back with it!(very messey) LOL
maybe my hormone's are to blame for this one, but i cant go on like this, i was dumped by my partner of 3 years when i got pregnant (didnt want anymore kids but he keeped asking me then left when i did) so now i am feeling really fat and crap about my self, thats why i re joindslimming world, nowi cant even get that to work for me, im failing at everthing !
3 weeks and ten LBS isa relly good start WELL DONE!
what sort of things r you eating? iknow u r doing green like me,

I'm sorry to hear about your dp leaving what a horrible thing to happen especially when you were pregnant. I'm sure this will work for you it will probbaly be your hormones.
I'm eating loads of rice, pasta, syn free chips, eggs, baked beans, quorn sausages, veg, salad, potatoes etc. I don't tend to use my syns on food if I syn at all it's on a glass of gin and slimline tonic but i've gone off drinking lately too. A typical day for me is a bowl of bran flakes (28 grams using part of my semi skimmed milk HE and my B creal HE) then for my lunch I have something like beans on toast (2 slices of med wholemeal from HE) or eggs with toast fingers. For tea I tend to make something free such as a quorn chilli with rice, quorn shephards pie, sausage and bean pie (recipe from website, chili bean pie etc, I tend to snack on fruit if I snack at all tbh i'm so full from the rest of the free food i'm having I tend not to feel hungry until the next meal. I have about 5 stone to lose so have a long way to go but I'm fionding this the best diet i've ever done so far not because i've lost quite a bit of weight but because i'm not constantly hungry or thinking about food.

after hearing that you r doing so well on it i think it has boosted me to keep trying for anouther week, im sure i will have to have some diffrence soon, just wish i could see a change now to boost my mind set for me abit........its very disapointing and boring when it just isnt working, worse when people keep asking how it is going,my next weigh in is tuesday morning, i will let u know on hear if the third week has made any change for me, fingers crossed,

Good luck for Tuesday!
I'n not really using syns at all tbh unless I have a couple of Gin and slimline tonics at the weekend thats about it. I don't really like eating much processed/artificially sweetened foods so tend to avoid these.

Do keep trying dislexicecream. Are you having all of your syn allowance? I find the more I eat, the more I lose (of the right stuff, of course! ) I am veggie and today I've had 2 weetabix, a mixed bean salad, a huge bowl of spaghetti and homemade tomato and veg sauce with cheese plus fruit mid morning and mid afternoon. Also keep drinking plenty of water. Sounds like you're doing fine on the exercise front. I bet after your period has finished you'll have a fantastic weight loss. Good luck!

thanks for the food ideas titianred
i have been doing the 2 leters of water a day thing scince i was pregnant (4 mounths ago) cos my head keeped hurting it helped loads and got me regula agen (so good when heveyly pregnant!) i find green soo easy as a veggi pritty much all of the free foods r what i eat anyway (maybe thats why i am having a slow start? ) i think the reson slimming world normaly works for me is cos i eat alot more when i am doing it, when im not on it i seem to "forget to eat" kids eat brakefast while i get ready 4 school run, then no kids home at lunch time so i forget that and normaly just end up with dinner, but when i do slimming world i have to use the As and Bs and sins so i think that motervates me to eat 3 or more times a day, if u see what i mean?
i am struggleing with the sins though i must admit, im getting them every day but i think ineed more ideas of what to use them on.
