Hadn't really registered that the party is a fortnight away, for some reason thought I had three weeks. And also hadnt registered quite how much weight I've put on in the last couple of months until I went and tried on a few possible dresses today. Anything I can do that will reduce the podge a bit in a fortnight? (I have an underactive thyroid and my meds needed adjusting, I'm now on a slightly upped dose but it won't make a difference to my weight unless I act on it too).

I'm going to do the Zoe Harcombe diet but do mostly day 4 (porridge for breakfast, no carbs for the rest of the day)
I've done it before and did not cut out caffeine and it still worked really well. Just carry on with phase 1 for 2 weeks.

This happened to me in the summer I used Formula 2 from this site amiweightloss.com and was so happy with the results I've carried on using it, best of luck :)

Ok, am off to google both of those. I really want to be slightly less doughy by then. DH is as thin as a pin but he is happy to go carb free/paleo/raw only/whatever with me for a fortnight.

Ok I looked at the harcombe diet, I could easily manage that. I am usually vegetarian but occasionally eat fish if I start to crave meat, so I could hack it for a couple of weeks. I eat far too much sugar anyway, partly as I feel so tired, so having a break from that can only be good. I'm going to start in the morning, so wish me luck!
