We are going to Costa Rica.
Climbed mt Kilimanjaro then a week in Zanzibar.
A weekend at Alton Towers. We were poor. It was the best weekend ever
Prague - in deepest winter with 6 inches of snow, at the Savoy which was incredibly cheap and lovely. Blankets over us at outdoor cafe at the castle eating apple strudel. Vats of Staropramen. Walks round the Christmas market eating chips and mayonnaise, cinnamon yum yums and chocolate crepes. Classical concerts in beautiful buildings. Romantic walks in ghostly, gold churches.
It was lovely
A few days staying along the west coast of scotland, fish and chips by the sea, cute little b&bs with crazy owners, and a baby jumping on my bladder every 5 seconds because I was 6 months pregnant, I loved it.
2 weeks in The Dominican Republic.
It was the first time I'd had a long haul holiday and we were upgraded to a suite! It was fab, and had a palm tree growing through one corner of the bedroom!
I acquired the taste for rum and coke thanks to the free minibar in our room!
We have never had one.
i can't decide where to go
We're going to Florida with LO who will be 10! And it'll be 11 months after the wedding
5 days touring central Sri Lanka, then a week in the Maldives (cliched yes). It was heaven - most expensive thing I've ever paid for but well worth it only negative was raging morning sickness We were treated like kings, and waited on hand and foot
5 days in a caravan at the Haven Holiday Park at Sandy cliffs nr Exmouth
It was a superior caravan so that helped
Going during off season also helped
I want a proper honeymoon
1 week on safari in Tanzania and 1 week on the beach in Zanzibar. All organised by this company
It cost a lot of money but was a truly once in a lifetime holiday. Amazing!
We had 2 nights in the poshest hotel I've ever been to - so posh it didn't feel posh, just incredibly comfortable - in London. Having brunch in Soho, going to art galleries and drinking champagne in the cinema. I cried when we had to go home to our baby and toddler (i was pleased to see them though, honest).
3 days in Venice and the rest of.the fortnight at lake garda.
went to V festival with a just married banner on the outside of the tent
loads of people popped past to wish us well
was ace
Thailand
Massages every day
Wonderful food
Beaches, sunshine, did I mention the daily massage!
Mountain climbing in Mayrhofen.
4 days in a hotel in the Peak District, same hotel DH took me too on our first weekend away. Lots of hiking and lovely pub meals. Loved it
5 days in a beautiful riad in Marrakech. The contrast between the bustling city and our tranquil indulgent hideaway was absolutely perfect.
Plus it was quite reasonable for such luxury.
We went to a Greek island - lovely walking through the little town in the evening and along by the sea and choosing one of the tavernas for our evening meal. Also remember lovely Greek salads for lunch at little places on the edge of the beach.
Was very relaxing after the big day.
Other holidays have been more of an adventure, but I felt we'd need a rest !
Our family and friends helped pay for a week in an apartment in Blackpool.
A month traveling round Japan. Ate at loads of Michelin stars restaurants. We ended the trip after almost 4 weeks in Disney Land/Sea Tokyo. I was a whole dress size bigger and one morning in Kyoto had to be cut out of a dress because the zip had just given in..... So worth it though.
Safari - amazing
Beach holiday in Mauritius - a bit boring TBH, was in middle of nowhere and the hotel didn't have a spa.
It didn't help that I had given very little thought to my honeymoon packing, we flew day after wedding. The books I took were far too worthy/boring.
Two weeks in Mexico. First week in Cancun which I wasn't that keen on. Second week on Cozumel which was blissful. Don't know that I'd choose that again though if we were choosing another "honeymoon" type holiday.
