Can you recommend an electronic weather station/forecaster (£50-75)

Hi

Fellow MN's suggested this might be a good Christmas present for my FIL who is a dairy farmer and sort of obsessed with interested in the weather.

I thought some of you lovely folk might have the knowledge to suggest a decent one....

ok, now that we are in a relative calm spot weather wise.
For that price you obv arent going to get anything that works at a professional level but I managed for quite a few years with one in that price range. I'd suggest you stay away from ones with anemometers unless you can mount it separately above roof level - ground level wind speed readings are subject to far too many errors and tend to underread by a large margin.

oregon scientific are not too bad (tis what I used to have)

I've got an Oregan too. It's about 8 years old. Works fine and is nice to see what the temp and the pressure are doing.
