Weaning

Dull and probably obvious but how do you re-heat chicken to give to a baby?

Have cooked chicken with sauce and veggies and have quite a lot of it frozen.

I usually use the BabyCook to defrost DD's food when it's just veg but am a bit wary that the BabyCook might not heat the chicken up enough. Any suggestions? Microwave?

Hi, I don't have a babycook so can't comment. I usually defrost in fridge (or at room temp if not much time) and then heat in the microwave. I do this with chicken in sauce and also plain cooked chicken. No problems yet - touch wood!

same way you'd reheat it for you ie thaw in fridge or at room temp, microwave till piping hot, cool till edible.

(Am afraid I have no idea what a BabyCook is)

Same as what the others said. Reheat till piping hot part is v.important.

I use the Babycook -- you use the normal amount of water for just cooking the chicken plus one extra measure (I think... And this is for just reheating - it's more if you want to defrost the chicken as well.) The details are in the booklet, which I don't have to hand, but if you've lost it let me know and I'll dig it up. It comes out scalding..

BTW I don't use the BC to defrost and reheat as it takes forever. Just reheating is OK though.
