Weaning

A quick BLW question please!

Started DS3 with BLW last weekend and this week he has had veggies/toast/pitta/fruit at lunchtime - all seems to be going and he is certainly enjoying it.

What should I do next?!

Should I carry on with just one "meal" a day or just continue the same for the next week or so?

TIA

Whatever you like really, if he doesn't want another meal he won't eat much of it. You don't know until you try - and if you're still giving him milk as usual it's not going to matter much if you don't give another meal even if he is up for it iyswim.

thanks nobiggy - tea time is usually when he has a nap anyway and it's easier for me if he's asleep as I'm tring to sort out the other DSs then!

I have looked at Aitch's blog but I'm not sure how to proceed really!

Yes, it's those sleeps that really muck up the mealtimes!

As long as the milk is still going in as usual don't feel that you have to "catch up" with a meal that's been slept through.

HI my daughter wasn't overly interested until about eight months and then she had just about progressed to three meals a day but lunch is always a bit hit and miss even now at 14 months. Just offer a bit of what your eating and see if they reach out and grab it - thats a sure sign they want more.
