BLW - is cabbage ok for 7 month old?

We've been BLWing our 7 month DD for one whole month now, most still ends up on the floor but she seems to be enjoying it!. Quite early on we gave her shredded (cooked savoy) cabbage which she absolutley loved BUT then i saw on this list and have not given it to her since.

Does anyone know why cabbage is not allowed till 18 months?? Does anyone feed their LO cabbage with no ill effects?? The same goes for onions, not that i want to start feeding her them on their own but they are in a lot of meals we eat.
Thanks!

My DD has had occasional cabbage - it says on the list that they are high in nitrates and that is why.

We give her spag bol and cottage pie and stuff that has onion in, and have had no problems.

Mind you she has also had strawberries and lemon before the recomended age

She is number 3 though - and we have no food allergies in the family so I am probably rather lax

Thats kinda what i thought, i mean i'm not thinking of feeding her just cabbage and i know nitrates are a problem but as long as shes getting a balance of foods i can't see the harm.

I've just checked out the list, 2 months into BLW and have given DS a few foods that are age inappropriate...........oh well, never mind, will carry on

oh i think that list is totally hard-core anti-allergy nutritionist-talk. i gave dd loads of things on it...
savoy cabbage and sausages a big favourite in this household.

We stood clear of nuts too many strawberries and honey.

Apart from that weaned at 15 weeks as was big boy and grabbed food off plate to stuff in mouth.

We fed mostly everything else, garlic he especially loved.

yep he was 9lb 1oz when he arrived was drinking 9oz bottles very early on and grabbed a chicken sandwhich whilst my friends mother was over to tea. He started waking early in the mroning and once weened was a much happier little boy!

..he obviously didn't read the recommendations
