I've done a 12 hour Paediatric first aid course... but all they said to cover choking was slap on back May do another!

I may have to find some net-info, not entirely sure where to start. I weaned ds on the annabel-karmel school of purees, and had already started pureeing for dd when I looked at blw... so have a freezer of bloomin pureed organic squash

that will be delicious with pasta and parmesan, fear not. or someone enterprisingly found a sweet potato facemask recently, so you could improvise.
i also totally second the infant resus class, i've never needed it (although i have once had to slap her on the back) but i felt better knowing i'd done it. it was free and run as a pre-childbirth thing at the hospital. i just asked them if i could come along post-childbirth and of course they said yes.

ach shut up. she just means that she'll put the food in front of the baby in a few weeks. the baby may then of course not eat it. leave her alone, 'picklestirrer' she's new to all this.

lol picklestirrer

I think dd is ready now, she grabs spoons and food off me to shove in her mouth, and her first meal has already been one of ds's paper 'snap' cards - he'd given it to her to hold and I discovered it in her nappy a day later

But she's 6months on the 24th, and I decided to hold out till then. So, we're starting next Sat

Incidentally, maybe I won't be doing blw as I'm picking when we start, and what food I'll be offering? Would it be more babyled if I wrote up a menu for her the night beforeand let her pick?

I'm only joking, I think this is more teamwork than babyled, IMHO.

I'm the same....not saying I will demand DD eats at 9.05 on 5th March...just that that's when I'll let her have a play and see how it goes...she may love it and may not be ready but without letting her have a play I won't know...please post here lunavix and let me know how it goes

and I think I'll try that menu idea...get DD to tick appropiate boxes of what she would like and leave it hanging off her door for me to pick up in the morning....
