DS is 6 months, and over the past 2 days we've been giving him bits of food to play with- he's only eaten tiny bites, which we were expecting. Yesterday we gave him some bits of carrot and pear, then today he had some parsnip.
I've just changed his nappy, and in amongst the normal runny yellowy poo there was what looked like loads of little strands of black thread. There were also what looked like raisins, which on closer inspection (yuck, I know) were hard lumps of creamy stuff coated in this black thread (or whatever it was)
Is it the food that's causing this, or is it likely he's swallowed something else? We're very careful with him at home, but he was at nursery yesterday so I don't know if he got hold of something there. He's at that stage where EVERYTHING goes straight in his mouth.
He's perfectly happy and healthy otherwise. He's my first baby, and I don't know anyone else with babies, so I never know what to expect. HVs don't tell you everything!
Hope someone out there can help!
