My DS was sleeping through when i started to wean at 21 weeks) - however he is now waking at night for milk and is literally gasping for it. He has 3 meals a day at 8.00 am, 11.00 am and 3.00 pm. I think he needs to have some more food at 6.00 pm to tide him over.

Last night he had a split feed totalling 12 oz (6 oz at 4.30), 6 oz at 6.45 pm and he woke at 1.30 am gasping for milk and took 5 oz in 4 mins.

I am starting to give him protein and dairy now as he has been on fruit and veg purees for 5 weeks now.

Any advice/tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

i would change the 3pm solids to 5pm/6pm with milk at 3pm and after his tea.
dont overload his digestive system with solids just yet. 3 meals a day should be enough.

he has the meal at 3.00 pm because he goes to nursery and this is when they serve tea ... i could ask them to not feed him at 3.00 pm and i will feed at 6.00 i suppose ...
