Dd is just six months but we've been weaning for a few weeks now and she loves her food. started with purees and now doing self feeding and spoon feeding, but beyond fruit and veg purees/sticks I'm at a bit of a loss what to give her! I'm wanting to make purees more like mashed food now too.

So, inspire me! What do your six month old babies eat?

DS just grabbed whatever he fancied off my plate! Nuts, salt, sugar and honey were out, but we experimented with lots of fruit, veg, fish, chicken and yogurt. I really recommend the baby-led weaning cookbook; it's got lots of quick ideas and you can always adapt the level of lumpiness for your child.

Wow showme ! I wish my 3 year old ds ate that well! So i can basically give her most things we're eating then?!

We've got the baby led weaning cookbook as did that with ds. I'm more lost about what mush meals ii could batch cook in advance for her. She does love an Ella's kitchen pouch though Grin

I also wasn't sure if you could feed a six month old too much solids? Ds had a sparrows appetite so this was never a problem!

Sounds like I can go full steam ahead with three meals etc. Another mouth to think about putting nutritious food in.
