Non-eating 15 month old: help!

DS is 15mo. Been weaning him since 6mo. Here is typical day:
Breakfast: ignores weetabix and fruit. May lick spoon of yoghurt.
Lunch: licks some cheese spread off bread.
Dinner: most successful meal. May eat up to 5 teaspoons of favourite meal (cheesy tomato pasta). Everything else just gets played with.
He is still BF and drinks a lot, also during the night. I am very reluctant to withdraw any feeds as he is so reliant on them and I fear a meltdown.
Any advice? Please!

You may just have to cut down if he's having that much milk from you...
Unfortunately I had to ff my DD so I'm not sure how my experience would translate to BF, but I found once I cut out a bottle I replaced it with a 'meal'. The first one I cut was the 3pm feed so I replaced it with yogurt. She took it no problem as she was hungry!!
That may just need to be the route you need to take, but I could be wrong. Sorry!!!

I am no expert either but it sounds like milk is filling your baby up.. try to cut down on the milk feeds (if possible)

I would consider night weaning. I know it seems scary when your baby seems to be so reliant on it, but... well, worst case scenario, if you nightwean and he still does not start eating, well, you just UN-nightwean. It is worth a try. In my experience, closing the all-night milk bar usually results in a baby becoming hungrier for food during the daytime.

Do you actually want him to eat more or do you just feel that he ought to be?
