am having a bit of a panic

ok this might be a daft thing to ask but do you need to cook tinned chick peas (stored in water) before mashing them up for an 11 month old????? have just given them to ds and am now having a panic as i dont normally eat them.

don't think so , after all you can just blitz them for hummous
