Does anyone know if they are suitable for using in recipes for a 6 month old. Peeling fresh is such a faff!!

Thanks

be careful! tesco ones have added salt and sugar and sainsburys ones have salt

sainsburys organic ones however are just tomatoes and water!

so i think they're fine... but do check the ingredients to make sure there is no salt or sugar

btw, fresh ones are easy to peel if you blanch them first!

if you want to use fresh ones lakeland now do a fruit peeler that is perfect for peeling raw tomatoes.

Tescos value chopped tomatoes contains tomatoes (60%), tomato juice, and citric acid. So no good if you're keeping your baby off citrus fruit, but otherwise fine. Don't think ds (9mo) has had any other sort of tomatoes yet...

if you plunge tomatoes in boiling water for a couple of minutes then let them cool the skins just slip off! easier than even peeling!
