In south East England.
Have done Hastings and Brighton.
Would like sand and/or rock pools.
Anyone ben to Samphire Hoe? How easy would it be to get to from the station in Dover?
I have googled but apparently everyone must have cars these days because most sites are very hazy on getting there by train and walking.

Samphire Hoe is probably impossible without a car. Broadstairs is nice - oldy worldy with donkeys and a seafood stall, and the beach in Margate is lovely (both sandy). Both are easily reachable from the station.

And Joss Bay is fab. Must be manageable in a taxi from Broadstairs station....

I use transport direct to plan all my trips involving public transport. It includes busses as well as teians and showed me that I could get to almost any beach on the north norfolk coast via a train to kings lynn and a coasthopper bus from there.
