Anyone been to CP Longleat recently and had Wi-Fi access in Pine Area?
I know Wi-Fi is available in the Redwood Apartments and in Ash area.
As the one bed lodges in Pine are Executive, do they have Wi-Fi, or not? Anyone know?

Hi nannynick,

We recently stayed at Longleat in a Woodland lodge in the Pine area and we definitely didn't have Wi-Fi access. I would think that none of the accommodation in Pine would have it, as I guess it would be an 'all or nothing' situation? (but I'm no expert!).

I was quite glad as DP would have spent the whole time doing 'work' type stuff.

Wi-Fi is available in the Plaza and Jardin De Sports though.

HTH

I meant to add, we were there VERY recently - only a couple of weeks ago in fact.

I was in a Woodland Lodge (193) back in January and certainly there is no Wi-Fi there, but it isn't Executive accommodation in that part of Pine.
Back in August 08, found we could get Wi-Fi when in Ash last year, 815/816 we found that we could get Wi-Fi just about, as accommodation on opposite side of the road was Executive.
In the Redwood apartments there is Wi-Fi throughout.
So I was wondering if all Executive area's had Wi-Fi hot spots... or if it was just the more central locations.

You could be right about the Executives being in Wi-Fi hotspots - however, my guess is that only the central public locations have Wi-Fi and the closest accommodation picks it up from there, eg Ash areas.

Like I say, I could be wrong!

Agree about Mobile phone coverage, it's practically non-existent.

I got mobile internet (3 network) outdoors in some areas, but once in villa signal dropped.
I'm there on Friday, so will report back then, if I get wi-fi.

I've been allocated villa 346, which is an Executive Lodge. And yes, it does have Wi-Fi - as I'm posting this from the kitchen in the villa (or should that be lodge?).

That's interesting. I'll make sure my DS doesn't find out or he'll want to have an Exec lodge just so he can play Call of Duty! (thats if we can afford to go again in the near future).

For Tech Geeks - Villa 346 at Longleat has the Wi-Fi Hotspot. Colubris Networks Wireless Access Point (looks similar to Colubris CN-1250, connected to a Zhone DSL modem (possibly Zhone 6381 - looks very similar).

Docbunches - don't let him play Call of Duty.... use it for Mumsnet instead

nannynick,

I must admit, I was wondering why you didnt have anything better to do than MNing whilst at CP (I would too!)

Better things to do than post on Mumsnet - are there such things? Well, Yes - I'm off to the Spa shortly! I only come for the Spa, plus a change of scene - my accommodation here is twice the size of my flat and probably around 3 times nicer.
