Isle of Wight recommendations please!

Hello

We're hoping to book a week in the Isle of Wight this summer, I keep hearing great things about it for families, but would like a recommendation of areas to look at, or even specific places to stay if anyone has them?

Our 2 kids will be just 5 (yrs) and 6 months old when we go, so something with nice beach (is one side nicer than the other??), lots to do and would like to stay in a cottage/villa or even mobile home thingy....

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!
