Can't help either. But we're going for the first time next month. I'll be able to tell you after that

we stayed in a converted barn on a working farm and you could go and see the animals etc. Will try and find a link....

Alum bay is fab for kids (coloured sand etc)

We used to love Blackgang chine when we were children, big childrens park/amusment type place

Cowes town is lovely to walk around go to the marina and look at all the yachts etc, plus lots of lovely fish and chips etc

Shanklin beach is really nice as is the town, loads of little gift/souviner shops and a fab beach

If your going in August Cowes week may be on (huge yachting regatta) which is lovely (but really busy) fireworks, yacht races loads of things going on

Hope you have a good time!

I took my dd to Sandown (stayed at the Montrene hotel) when I went 5 years ago but the IOW is small enough to drive around in a couple of hours if you get stuck for things to do .

There's a Flamingo Park where I took her for her 2nd birthday and loads of lovely beaches to play on. Carisbrook castle is nice too.
