Hi, thinking of a midweek summer trip to Longleat via ferry so we can go to the "Safari" for a day or so and also have a fun place to hangout with my DH and 2 1/2 year old but am very confused about where to stay!! I can get a 2 bed woodland lodge in Pine eg 331 or ones closer to the restaurants or sports centre for same price. Which is best? We don't cycle (well husband can't :) ) and will prob hangout mainly in pool as DD only 2. Any help much appreciated. Will be bringing car and will have no 3G on phone so would dearer accom be better for wifi?? Thanks!!

331 will be perfect for you. You will walk most of the way to pool on a flat path (not the road) in about 6-8 mins. So you will be near the shops and the restaurants too.
You will be a 20 min walk (in the pram) from jardin des sports - this is downhill on way there but uphill on way back (the Lake is at the bottom of the valley with most of the appts on top of hills surrounding it.
There is the land train but it doesn't run on mon and fri (until the eve).
There are good softplay for little ones in Strada. Hucks is better for bigger ones as is the sports cafe one.
