My 7yr old won't fasten her jacket

My 7yr old daughter feels cold more than others but will not do up the zip on her jacket.

She complains of cold a lot and when I ask her to do up her jacket she asks me to do it even though she can do it herself.

She was on a brownies camp over Summer holidays and came home and told me that she froze one day. I asked leader what happened and she said that Lily went on a hike without her jacket "because her friends left theirs behind" but leader knows that Lily feels cold more than others so what should I do?

She is fussy about jackets that she'll wear, she WILL NOT wear ones with buttons, toggles or ones which are half zip pullovers, she will only wear Regatta full zip ones.

get her to wear jumpers?

honestly, unless she has some kind of illness, i would just relax and let her learn the hard way. if shes cold, she can do up her jacket or take it with her or be cold

perhaps she knows it worries you and she is attention seeking

What do you mean by "again"?

This is the third time you've posted on this subject.

Each time you have told us that your daughter will only wear Regatta full zip coats, she won't zip them up and she feels the cold.

That's what I mean.

At 7 surely she is old enough to realise that she won't be so cold if she zips he coat up? I also wouldn't expect a leader at camp to ensure she wears her coat because she 'feels the cold'.
