We won't be able to afford to go abroad next summer and due to our lg's health and frequent hospital admissions, it's much safer to stay closer to home.
We have previously been to Centre Parks which was fantastic but is almost, if not more, expensive than going abroad. We were thinking of a Haven/Butlins type holiday, as we both went when younger. But what are they like now days? Do they still have bars with evening entertainment, where kids can get up and dance etc and a big indoor swimming paradise?
Just looking for some reviews or opinions if you have been recently.

Yes they do still have evening entertainment for children and adults. Most have indoor pools and other childrens play areas.

We been to Isle of Wight/Torquay with Parkdean Holidays. Both really good holiday's which the children have loved.

Have used Haven in the past but they are getting really expensive over £1100 for 7 nights in cornwall.

We have used Park Resorts and Parkdean Holidays in the past and normally pay between £500 - £700 for a weeks holiday. They are what they are, we only have basic caravans as we only really sleep in them as we out most of the day.

There's Haven, Butlins, Parkdean, John Fowler etc, plus loads of independent places in the SW. There's group of parks in Woolacombe for example.

There's also Bluestones, though it's not much cheaper than CP. We recently went to Sandy Balls and it had all you're looking for.
