I went to this one day last year, simply because I was working in the area and had a day off. I adored it. So this year I'm coming down with my husband and seeing a bit more. I thought that the dressage to music was on the Friday? I want to see that day and the carriage driving xc on the Sat, but I can't find it in the online site. Perhaps I'm missing something. Does anyone happen to know? I need to book hotels really.

Sorry can't help you. Have looked at the schedules and it doesn't list the dressage to music - mostly because this year's schedule had events for the Queen's 90th and therefore a lots of specialist performances. You may have to ring them. There is driving every day - depends on what part of the competition you want to watch.. The Marathon is on Saturday.

Sadly, and to our disappointment, we've not entered Royal Windsor this year as the Show Hunter Ponies aren't qualifying for Royal International this year.

Love this show but will now be going elsewhere that weekend..

Thanks, yes I will ring them. At least it wasn't me being dumb looking at the schedule! That's a shame about the show hunters. I wonder why they did that.

Don't think the SHPs have ever qualified for RIHS at Windsor. We've only been before with our (former) Show Pony which is a qualifier.. It is a great show to go to as the SHP championship is in the main arena but it's always competitive class..

Have fun and hope the weather is good for you (normally when we go it's horrendous!).

Butkin- Windsor is a SHP RIHS qualifier, (we got our ticket there one year) and is showing on the BSPS list as one.

BaldricksWife you're absolutely right! RWHS bury it in the conditions below the BSPS Summer Champs qualification. All I can say is bugger! Still it would be a hard ticket to get - good luck to the one that does.. At least saved the 58.50 pounds entry fee!!

Hi Parissont - qualified for what - RIHS in SHP? If so which division - we're in 133s..

The good thing about Windsor in a qualification way is that it operates like a wild card and the top 3 restriction does not apply! Think one pony got is RI on quite a low placing due to strength of class.

Yes we always used to do the SP there. I'd imagine that some of the ponies in top 3 wouldn't have qualified by RW though as still quite early.. we're doing Areas 16, 15 and 14 and then see how we're fixed after that before panicking!

One of the M&M's qualified in 6th at Windsor last year- steamingly hot class. Will probably do some of those shows as well, good luck to you and everyone else on the quest for a golden ticket!

Apparently the format is all changed this year due to the Queen's Birthday celebrations, and tickets for the evening displays are sold out already. So I'm gutted I booked leave for Windsor instead of Badminton this year. I think we will divert to Chatsworth instead. Good luck to all of you competing there.
