Best whiteboard markers! Please help

My brother is a NQT and tragically his request for a Christmas was whiteboard markers that actually work and can be wiped off properly! I'll get him something nice for him too, of course, but can anyone recommend any? His main gripes are poor precision, not distinct enough or look great but don't wipe off. Huge bouquets of Flowers for any recommendations (and other survival tips for the first year NQT in senior school).

You can't beat Berol, in my opinion. Chisel tip for me and the full rainbow of colours. I do not share my whiteboard markers. Grin

The lack of wiping off may be a crappy board, tbh.

What about getting him a thing of whiteboard cleaning spray to go with them? And if you're really pushing the boat out, a brand new whiteboard rubber. Can't beat a clean one of those....

I don't know brand names but OMG yes to chisel tip. I bloody hate those round tipped ones, my normally lovely writing goes to shit. Lots of black and blue with a few extras in a range of colours.

I'd recommend Berol or Edding. Anything cheap and nasty like the ones supplied by our LA just won't clean off.

Or Nobo. I sell stationery and IMO the major brands are miles better than own brands.

stargirl is right. It could be the quality of whiteboard. If the surface is not as smooth as it should be it will be more difficult to clean.

I'm off to google and buy a selection for him. Thanks so much for the tips (hilarious pun Wink). Flowers to all

Our cleaner keeps spraying something on my whiteboard which makes it difficult to clean off

I keep leaving notes saying 'please do not clean the whiteboard' but I get in the next morning and its been done -not sure what she uses but I wish she wouldn't

Anyway...I get my pens from WH Smith -not sure if the brand name but they are triangular and write really nicely

I like pentel maxiflo. You click a button to refresh the ink if they start to dry out.

If you can get a decent board eraser as well.
