SCITT interview - which story to read out loud? (Won't know if EYFS, KS1 or KS2 until the day)

Hello,

I have a SCITT interview in November and part of it involves reading a story aloud for ten minutes to the class. All fine, but the email states I won't find out the year group is until the day. Any ideas on which book I could choose? I've got plenty of ideas for younger children but I'm struggling to think of something that would engage a year 6 class in the same way as a reception class! Maybe Roald Dahl?

Would love some ideas. :)

My favourite book to read aloud to all children from my y1 class to when I visit y6, is
Jack and the flum flum tree by Julia Donaldson.
I recommend practising it a few times beforehand to get expression and intonation perfect!

is a great cross key stage option and is designed to be read aloud.
