Nightmare head and Wanting to move borough, will I keep my maternity cover?

Asking for a friend really, she has a hard time with her head, but is worried about leaving the school as she is ttc and doesn't want to risk her maternity entitlement. Does it really matter if she leaves? Or if she remains in the same borough will it still be affected? Thanks.

Maternity entitlement remains the same, wherever you are.

Maternity entitlement used to be portable between schools because your employer was the LA. However now if you move between two schools and they are different academy chains or LA/academy then your employer changes and you have to build up your maternity pay entitlement from scratch.

Thanks giraffe, I thought you used to be able to move it ( was offered to me), but she thought it had changed. Damn, she's held there worrying about her maternity entitlement.
