Hello there,
Advice please! If a long term volunteer of a school applied for a job as a TA [at any school] with practical experience and this certificate would they be taken seriously?
Not ofqual accredited but seems approved by them and other and supports understanding of a classroom.
Hope enlisting on this course not been a mistake.
I am jittery!!
Thanks in advance for help.

Hi,

We wouldn't accept this as a qualification in our borough, accredited qualifications only.

You can do a properly accredited course for about the same cost, for example: www.icslearn.co.uk/courses/childcare-and-teaching/ncfe/ncfe-level-3-award-in-supporting-teaching-learning-in-schools/

Thanks for your responses.
I think this course is helpful to me as very much concentrates on classroom support in a belts and braces way and will complement my volunteering. However, appreciate not accredited so that is a concern.
I didn't want a course that concentrated on policies and legislation as have an understanding through being a long term school governor.
However, aware may be a mistake doing this course career wise in the short term which is a bit of a sod.
