TA Position interview

Hi, just need a bit of advice. I have an interview on Wednesday for a TA position and I need to give a five minute presentation on something I am proud of. That's all the information I have in the email. This is a question I have been asked in another interview before where I didn't get the job. Could I use something that I have done outside of school relating to my interests? I was thinking of doing a presentation about being a Tourmaker when the Tour de France came through Yorkshire. It was such a brilliant day, I was so delighted to be a part of it and it has sparked something whereby now I am involved a lot more in cycling, joined a club and have also marshalled at other cycling events. Would that be a suitable basis for my presentation?

I'm not a teacher or TA but I think that your having volunteered as a Tourmaker more than fits the bill. If you're really enthused about something it's easy to talk for 5 mins.

Good luck!

I'm interviewing for TAs this week. I would love to see a presentation about that. Smile

Great that's given me a lot of confidence Joey. I have roughly prepared it and also intend to speak about how I shared my experience with the children at the school where I worked as a midday and also at the local playgroup. I have three interviews this week and this one is the one I want the most.
