Hod and nqt have got together. hod was married at the time. They spend all of their time in and out of each others classrooms to the extent where there really is no hod anymore as he is never available to talk. Anything said to nqt gets back to hod and vise versa.

Smt aware and are aware of the relationship as they are now living together.

I'm 2ic and have needed to in the past discuss my concerns about nqt and their teaching and professionalism. it wasn't taken seriously at the time...now I know why. I guess I'm after advice on how to work in that environment where their relationship is clearly impacting on professinalism at work but senior leadership don't give a damn.

Don't envy you. You shouldn't have to leave, but I'd be flipping through the TES. Are you ready for a promotion.

Take it to the line manager of your HOD

I doubt I'm ready for promotion tbh and family life means moving is not ideal at the moment. I had hoped to do my time as 2ic and when ready move on promotion but realistically that's probably a year or so down the line. I think I'll still keep an eye on tes...lovely indie school near where I live with huge payrise and no playground politics would be just amazing...ah one can dream eh.

Sorry should have said refer it up. Be professional . Do what you would normally if they weren't a couple. Just imagine it won't be easy..all good luck!

thanks. I've been to the line manager of the hod a few times and I know they've been spoken to but nothing is improving and I don't want to come across as being moany to hod's line manager. I think I might keep a diary of everything that happens so at least I have proof. It's just such a horrible environment now with nobody trusting either of them because we know they will be gossiping at home about observations etc etc. I've judged nqt as a 3/4 before and I know that she will have been bitching about me to hod.

sigh

head up high, remain professional and let them dig their own graves. they are already in trouble over a huge problem with a course they've been running.

Yes a running log is a useful idea. Wait it out and good luck
