parent ranting at me for being too harsh (following school policy re not completing homework and I should just believe that she had done it although she had not submitted it)

parent complaining that their son had asked to to a detention in order to get it over and done with (as dept detentions are held on a specific day, his would have been next week) and I had allowed him to stay and complete it (he did say "Miss, I'm here anyway so can I do it now?")

my 2 free periods taken tomorrow for whole school off timetable thing

year 11 reports due, mock exams to mark, year 9 exams to mark and their reports also due

mock ofsted.......(who on earth thinks its good timing during exams and reports for two year groups, this close to christmas, coursework needed to be completed to arrange a mock ofsted)

students who seem determined to destroy the learning of others despite only being 5 months away from GCSE exams

and breathe; only a week and half left

(and totally sympathise with the Year 11 thing. Today I invigilated a year 11 GCSE mock music exam (supply teacher). And they had no clue about respecting exam conditions apart from three who are serious students.
and I wanted to cry, because DH who visits India a lot, tells me about his colleagues there who voluntarily work evenings to teach eager kids who are desperate to learn, and turn up for evening classes after a 12 hour working day ...Sad)
