Our school has a termly CPD programme which staff are expected to attend.

Does anyone know if teachers on a temp contract must attend these?

How temp? If it's a half term then I'd have thought not, but if it's a year then I'd have thought you would be expected to (and, tbh, to want to).

Thanks, it's a fixed-term contract to July (part-time). I seem to have escaped it last year (my contract was renewed this Sept) and wasn't on any registers for the in-house training, so not sure if it was an oversight or not. Yes, I will want to attend some, but would rather have the freedom to opt in or out.

I think if you're full time and on proper pay you should go to all of them. Part time or underpaid, go to tge interesting oness.
